if enough people start believing that we can create the world without wars, inequalities, health and aging problems, evil superintelligence, etc., we can do it...
The problem is as old as humanity, or maybe even older. The problem is very complex, because war means not only that people die in bombings, shootings, etc., but also they live in horrible conditions, they try to run away to some safer places, etc.
The goal is to help hundreds, thousands of people that struggle for better living in war zones and eventually to make the wars go away.
To achieve the goal we always have to look at different aspects: science and technology, society, governments, etc..
There are several ways to help achieving that goal: local events like panel discussions, The Week, etc...
The Week is a special time to celebrate what we've done, think about what we have to do, engage and inform society about it... And everybody can join...
The week happens: 1-8.01. (more info)

Here you have some ideas on what you can do to stop the war if it's in your country, when you live in a country that's an aggressor, when you are in a neighbour country or far away from the conflict.
The article is still in progress (it means that new ideas regarding stopping the war are being added to the article, developed or removed if found ineffective or inappropriate).
Most of the ideas you find here were already used by people during different conflicts and wars around the world. The effects of these actions were sometimes more, sometimes less helpful, because each conflict, each war is different. While reading these ideas, you have to decide on your own which of them apply to your situation.
First of all, when we talk about war, there might be a lot of emotions. People react differently to the information about war or to the war itself. You, as well, might experience various emotions regarding the topic.
The emotions and feelings people describe they often have are: anger, sadness, hopelessness, despair, hatred. But there are other emotional reactions, like indifference, nonchalance, and even excitement, etc. People might even feel more sexually aroused (and it happens more often than you think).
So, whatever you feel, other people probably have felt it before you, feel it at the moment, and will feel it in the future. There is nothing wrong with having these various feelings.
It's all natural.
What's important is important is to accept these feelings within yourself, your close ones, people you meet, talk to. These are just different emotional reactions to a very disturbing situation.
Accepting these feelings might help you find the answer to the questions that are so important: what can I do, how can I help stopping the war, how can I help people that are being hurt?
Before you start using these ideas, first, talk to someone about it. The most important thing in stopping the conflicts is collaboration, being together whether you are in the country that is under attack or somewhere else. There is a lot of strength in actions that are coordinated, so it's good to listen to what others have to say and to watch what they do.
WHEN YOU ARE IN THE COUNTRY THAT IS UNDER ATTACK
IF YOU ARE UNDERAGE:
Listen to your guardians (parents, grandparents, legal guardians).
If your closest are not available at the moment find the closest person older than you and ask for help.
IF YOU ARE AN ADULT:
The first few steps that could help you.
1. Find a safe place.
At first, find a place safe enough to survive and get time to understand what's going on. It might, for example, be a shelter or a basement.
2. Get information.
Collect information about the situation from reliable sources. Check at least two or three sources. You can listen to the radio, watch news, check the internet, talk to the neighbors.
Check governmental websites, local news websites, international news websites.
Important: Be aware that there might be a lot of fake news in the internet, that's why it's so important for you to check at least two sources if it's possible. Even governmental websites can be hacked, so if you can check the websites from outside of your country that you find reliable.
3. Make contact with your neighbors.
4. Respond to governmental alerts.
5. Inform your friends, family, and world about the situation.
6. Secure food, water, and other important resources.
7. If you want to evacuate, check the website with general and specific information regarding evacuation.

War and Peace... - where do we stand, where can we go, how fast can we get there, why aren't we there yet, how can we get there, and do we really want to go there?
Here you have couple of words (in progress) about searching for the World without wars. You can find here some information, some ideas, some philosophical (or semi-philosophical) thoughts, etc..
So let's start with something simple...
People live... people differ... people fight...
But what if it didn't have to be like that? What if...?
The world is changing and maybe there might become a day when people stop fighting in wars. Maybe there is something we could do to make it happen faster and become more permanent...
And that's where the questions start... and there's where we start...
So at first, if you want to know the basics regarding war and peace, you might want to read these articles from Wikipedia:
- List of ongoing armed conflicts
- Outline of War
- War
- List of Wars by death toll
- Religious War
- Philosophy of War
- Principles of War
- Law of War
- Declaration of War
- War crime
- List of War crimes
- Effects of War
- Genocides in history
- List of genocides by death toll
- Geneva Conventions
and three last ones:
- Peace
- World Peace
- International Day of Peace
Well, there is a possibility of more wars to come and another world war, and there is a possibility of lowering the amount of wars happening every single second.
As you probably already know, there are different reasons for wars, and different outcomes. Therefore, there are different ways to take in order to stop different types of wars and to ameliorate conditions of innocent people who suffer from these wars.
It seems that one of the most important things, while thinking about stopping wars, is precise understanding of 'players' in the war - those who benefit from the conflict, those who would benefit from cease of fire. And one way to stop the given war would be to find a way to make all 'players' gain something from cease of fire. To learn how to start working with this, you could read more from journals like: Conflict Management and Peace Science.
It's important to uderstand that, if the conflict is already there, cease of fire probably won't happen by night, and to learn to live with the fact that sometimes we won't be able to stop fights fast enough to prevent people from dying during that conflict. Nevertheless, it's worth to try helping as many people as possible.
More info soon...
And that's it. This article is still in progress and more info will come soon. Now you know a bit more (probably) about wars and peace...
So, once again, what do you think about this question:
Share your thoughts regarding this questions with others.
And if you want to find out more about research and ideas regarding war and peace and to find out what other people think in the matter, go to the Panel Discussion (or prepare one), read, ask scientists or do whatever you do when you want to get an answer to the question you find interesting.
